GECU Financial Journey Scholarship
Students in grades 8–12 are invited to learn the basics of smart spending, budgeting, and planning for the future through short, interactive modules. After completing the lessons, submit a brief essay for a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship. 15 winners will be selected.

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR WIN. GECU membership is NOT required. Employees, board members, and relatives of GECU, GECU subsidiaries, or GECU affiliates are ineligible to win. Scholarship funds will be awarded by the Mi Comunidad Center (Mi Comunidad), a subsidiary of GECU, in participating areas in Texas and New Mexico. Mi Comunidad will provide tax reporting to recipients and the IRS. The $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to winners selected by Banzai, a third-party financial education program. Permission from a parent or legal guardian is required for participation. Some restrictions apply. Please see Banzai's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for more details at the bottom of this page.
