Scholarship

Complete the GECU Financial Journey Scholarship application by creating a Banzai account and going through the course below. Following the course you will fill out a GoogleForm with your information and a short essay and complete the application. Running May 1, 2026- May 15, 2026.

  • Students in grades 8–12 are invited to participate
  • Must reside in Texas or New Mexico
  • Must complete all modules and submit the required essay

NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR WIN. GECU membership is NOT required. Employees, board members, and relatives of GECU, GECU subsidiaries, or GECU affiliates are ineligible to win. Scholarship funds will be awarded by the Mi Comunidad Center (Mi Comunidad), a subsidiary of GECU, in participating areas in Texas and New Mexico. Mi Comunidad will provide tax reporting to recipients and the IRS. The $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to winners selected by Banzai, a third-party financial education program. GECU Financial Journey Scholarship

Sign up to go through each of the pretests, courses, and posttests outline in this module, then complete a 250 word essay from the link in the completion slide.
